Katazome-shi - stencil dyed by hand with traditional materials
Katazome-shi comes from craftsmen in Japan using kozo stencils and pigments that have been augmented with soybean juice and paste. The result is dramatic intense color which brings the patterns to life. These papers are very time -consuming to make. They are strong, yet flexible and glue down easily.
Available in half sheets (approximately 18” x 24”)
