Translucent Papers

Most of these translucent sheets are made of rayon which is very lightweight but strong.  Unryu is Japanese for cloud dragon.   Unryu sheets are indeed cloud-like with long kozo fibers floating across the surface.  These tissue-like papers are used for invitation overlays, lampshades, paper-maché, collage, book-making, and gift wrap.

White translucent papers were photographed against a black background for contrast.

Most sheets are approximately 21” x 31” .
